Cranberry Citrus Punch recipe

  • Author: Caroline

Ingredients

    • Cranberry Juice: 64 oz (one large bottle), chilled

    • Orange Juice: 46-52 oz (one large bottle), chilled

    • Pineapple Juice: 46 oz (one large can), chilled

    • Ginger Ale: 2 liters, chilled

    • Sparkling Apple Cider: 750 ml (one bottle), chilled

For the Garnish:

    • Fresh Cranberries: 1 cup

    • Oranges: 2, thinly sliced

    • Optional Aromatic Garnish: Fresh rosemary sprigs or cinnamon sticks

Instructions

This is the most important step for a successful punch. At least 4 hours before your event (or preferably, overnight), make sure every single liquid ingredient is thoroughly chilled in the refrigerator. Cold ingredients will keep your punch fizzy and refreshing for much longer and will prevent your ice from melting too quickly.

Step 2: Combine the Juices

In a large punch bowl or drink dispenser, combine the chilled cranberry juice, orange juice, and pineapple juice. Stir gently to mix. If you are making the punch ahead of time, you can stop at this step, cover the bowl, and keep it in the refrigerator.

Step 3: Add the Fizz (Just Before Serving!)

Right before your guests are due to arrive, it’s time to bring the punch to life. Slowly pour in the chilled ginger ale and the chilled sparkling apple cider. The punch will fizz up beautifully. Give it one or two gentle stirs with a ladle to combine everything. Be careful not to over-stir, as this will dissipate the carbonation.

Step 4: Garnish and Admire

Gently add the fresh cranberries and sliced oranges to the punch. They will float on top, creating a stunning visual effect. If you’re using them, add a few sprigs of fresh rosemary or a couple of cinnamon sticks. Place the punch bowl in a prominent location with a ladle and punch cups, and get ready for the compliments to roll in.
