Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures the oven is at the perfect temperature by the time your dough is ready.
  2. Cream Butter and Sugar:
    In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. This usually takes about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients:
    Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract to the creamed mixture. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  4. Prepare Dry Ingredients:
    In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. This ensures even distribution of the leavening agent and salt throughout the dough.
  5. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
