  • 1 pound Large cooked shrimp Peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups Ice water
  • 2 pieces Lemon wedges For garnish
For the Cocktail Sauce
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Prepared horseradish Adjust to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Hot sauce Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Chill Shrimp: In a large bowl, submerge peeled, deveined shrimp in ice water for 5 minutes until they’re crisp and chilled through.
  2. Drain & Dry: Lift the shrimp from the ice bath and drain thoroughly, then pat each piece dry with paper towels.
  3. Combine Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, prepared horseradish, fresh lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  4. Arrange & Serve: Fill a large platter or individual serving glasses by fanning chilled shrimp around a small bowl of cocktail sauce, then tuck lemon wedges along the edges.
