Method

How to Make Teriyaki Beef Skillet Stir-Fry
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil until sugar dissolves. Toss steak slices to coat. Rest 10–15 minutes.
  2. Preheat a large cast-iron or nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 2 minutes. Drizzle a bit of oil for a toasty sear.
  3. Add marinated steak in a single layer. Cook undisturbed 2 minutes until edges brown; flip and cook another minute for juicy, caramelized bites.
  4. Toss bell peppers, broccoli florets, and julienned carrots into skillet. Stir constantly for 3–4 minutes until vegetables are crisp-tender.
  5. Return seared beef to vegetables; pour any reserved marinade over top. Simmer 2 minutes, stirring gently until sauce thickens.
  6. Scoop hot stir-fry over steamed jasmine rice. Top with sliced green onions, sesame seeds, and fresh cilantro.

Notes

For best results, do not overcrowd the skillet while searing the beef.
